QUANTUM COMPUTING CENTER

VISIONS

「Building a quantum future.」

Quantum computers could solve problems that no classical computers could efficiently accomplish, by harnessing the phenomena of quantum mechanics. The research focus of Hon Hai Quantum Computing research center, led by Prof. Min-Hsiu Hsieh, consists of both hardware and software components. In the hardware track, we will establish a trapped ion laboratory, and develop quantum control systems and miniaturization to facilitate the production of quantum computers. The software track will explore quantum optimization, quantum metrology, fault-tolerant quantum computation, among others. The goal of the center is to lead the industry as it continues to prepare for the arrival of the era of quantum technologies.
